class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Nach vielen Touren in die eisigen Regionen unseres Planeten, faszinierte mich dieses Mal eine Tour in die Dschungelwelt der Insel Papua Neuguinea.<br \/><br \/><strong>Angst ums Permit<\/strong><br \/>Die Insel ist geteilt und besteht aus dem separaten Staat Papua Neuguinea (PNG) im Osten und dem zu Indonesien geh\u00f6renden Teil Irian Jaya in West Papua. Der h\u00f6chste Berg der Insel, die Carstens Pyramide, liegt im westlichen Teil. Damit war klar, dass ein Permit, die Besteigungserlaubnis, nur \u00fcber die indonesische Regierung zu bekommen ist. Nun besteht Indonesien aus 17.266 Inseln mit selbst verwalteten Provinzen und es war schwer vorherzusagen, ob das Permit, augestellt in Jakarta, auch noch mitten im Dschungel gelten w\u00fcrde. Entsprechend aufw\u00e4ndig gestaltete sich die Recherche nach den Ansprechpartnern.<br \/><br \/><strong>Odyssee<\/strong><br \/>Am 27. M\u00e4rz startete dann endlich die Expedition. Ein langer Flug mit zahlreichen Stopps f\u00fchrte uns \u00fcber Singapore, Denpasar, Timika, Jayapura nach Wamena. Anschlie\u00dfend brachte uns der Flieger der Mission hinein in den Dschungel nach Beoga. Ab jetzt waren wir, drei Bergsteiger und weitere f\u00fcnf einheimische Tr\u00e4ger, v\u00f6llig auf uns allein gestellt. Unterst\u00fctzung gab es nur noch von einem Begleiter, der \u00fcber sehr viele Kontakte in Indonesien und Erfahrung im Dschungel verf\u00fcgt. Dar\u00fcber hinaus war er unentbehrlich bei der Organisation des Permits und bei der Verst\u00e4ndigung mit den wilden Bewohnern Papuas.<br \/><br \/><strong>Durch den Dschungel<\/strong><br \/>In den folgenden sechs Tagen k\u00e4mpften wir uns durch den Bergurwald und durch Teile des Hochlands. Die Wetterbedingungen waren extrem wie unser Anmarsch. Fast unsichtbare Pfade durch den Dschungel mussten wir uns mit der Machete erobern, \u00fcber umgest\u00fcrzte B\u00e4ume klettern und gef\u00e4hrlich breite Fl\u00fcsse \u00fcberwinden. Ab Mittag regnete es in Str\u00f6men und der Boden verwandelte sich in ein riesiges Schlammloch. Endlich erreichten wir das Basislager.<br \/><br \/><strong>Aufstieg zum Gipfel<\/strong><br \/>Das Wetter war zum Gl\u00fcck an zwei aufeinander folgenden Tagen sehr gut und gab uns die Gelegenheit, nach einer kurzen Erkundungstour am Ostersonntag, bereits am 09. April den Gipfel der Carstensz Pyramide zu erklettern. Der Fels besteht aus festem, griffigem und durch die Verwitterung messerscharfem Kalk. Das macht das Klettern zu einem Genuss. Die Schwierigkeiten sind mittleren Grades, stellen aber im ausgesetzten Fels der 800m hohen Wand einige Anforderungen an die Psyche. Wir brachen um 3.00 Uhr auf, um nicht in die Regenschauer zu geraten und erreichten schon am fr\u00fchen Morgen um 6.30 Uhr den Gipfel. Bei fantastischer Sicht folgte dann der Abstieg und am n\u00e4chsten Tag bereits der R\u00fcckweg. Allerdings nach Ilaga. Wir ben\u00f6tigten nochmals vier Tage, um die S\u00fcmpfe des Hochlandes zu queren. Dann brachte uns der Flieger der Mission wieder zur\u00fcck nach Wamena. Von hier aus dann der lange R\u00fcckflug \u00fcber Bali nach Deutschland, wo ich am 21.
